Class Notes 11/30

Today in class I handed back your chapter 1 tests along with the answer key. Go over my work and see where you may have done something different than I did. Remember you may have gotten the right answer and done things differently then me, which is ok.

After that we started our work on Chapter 2. We went over notes and then did a handout on graphing functions using function tables.

Homework Due Wed 12/2: Pg. 71 #22-24, 28-30, 35,37,39 and Read section 2.2

Today we took our Chapter 1 test.

Homework: There is no homework, just enjoy your holiday break. See you all after break.

Class Notes 11/17

Today was a review day for the chapter test which will be Thursday.

Your homework is to study for the test. If you have questions come see me before Thursday so I can assist.

Class Notes 11/13

Today in class we went over some more examples with absolute value inequalities. Then the class was spent going working on a handout (which if you did not finish in class is due Tuesday)
There will be a Chapter 1 test next Thursday. Tuesday's class will be dedicated to reviewing for the class. You have almost a full week to prepare, so if there are questions don't wait til the last minute to ask me.

Homework due 11/17: If you did not finish the handout in class today, then finish it for homework. Also study for the Test.

Class Notes 11/9

Today in class we worked on absolute value inequalities and how to solve them. There will be a quiz next Tuesday 11/17 on inequalities and absolute inequalities.

Homework due 11/13: pg 53 #41-46 follow directions then solve the inequality for x.

Class Notes 11/6

Today in class we went over the next section involving inequalities, which was the absolute value inequalities and what they look like on a number line.

Class Notes 11/4

Today in class we worked with Compound Inequalities. The "and", "or" type problems and then drew the graphs. We then spent the rest of class working on the in class handout. If you didn't finish the homework you can finish it, if you want. It is not required, but it is good practice.

Homework Due 11/6: pg 45 # 25-47 odd.

Class Notes 11/2

This morning in class we went over the answers from the quiz, and then started our next section. 1.6 which is graphing inequalities. This section will be a lead in to what comes next for us in class, when we start working with functions on the xy-plane.

Homework: Read section 1.6 if you haven't done that yet.
